Why You Should Not Hire A Lawyer To Fight Your Speeding Ticket! By Damon Dallah If you feel like it is an absolute must to hire a speedingticket lawyer to help you beat your speeding ticket, then goright ahead. But be forewarned; even after you have paid hisridiculous fees you could still LOSE your case.
And there aren't any refunds! A traffic ticket lawyer, WILL NOT and CAN NOT guarantee thatyour speeding ticket will be dismissed. You could end upspending hundreds of dollars for nothing. And chances are goodthat's exactly what you will end up doing. You see, there is no such thing as a lawyer who specializes intraffic court cases, much less speeding tickets. Okay, maybethere are a few here and there, but for the most part they areextremely hard to find. Why? There's just not enough money in it. The average fee that atraffic ticket lawyer will charge can be anywhere from $100 allthe way to $500 (depending on the severity of the charge, thehigher end of the pay scale would be for reckless driving andDUI cases). That may seem like a lot of money to you (and quite frankly itis), but to a lawyer, this is chump change. Lawyers are used to making thousands of dollars per case. Andthis is the primary reason why they do not specialize in trafficcourt cases. Believe it or not, the lawyer that you hire to handle yourspeeding ticket probably hasn't been in traffic court more thantwo or three times in the past. Do you really want someone asinexperienced as that? And get this, the chances of the lawyer having your casedismissed is extremely slim. The most he can do is plea bargainwith the prosecutor and have the charge against you reduced. This means that you'll still have to pay his fees, court fines,and court costs! The best advice I can give you is to stay away from hiring theservices of a speeding ticket lawyer. There is one exceptionhowever. If the charge against you has the potential to land youin jail or if your driver's license is at stake, then it wouldbe advised to hire an attorney. Actually it would be pretty foolish not to hire a lawyer underthese circumstances.

The more the prosecutor can prevent people from taking theirspeeding tickets to court, the more money the courts save. So,there's really no need to hire someone to do the same thing youcan do!
