Caddy For A Cure A Huge Success
Caddy For A Cure, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Corporation is helping bring the relationship between professional golf and charitable giving closer. The program, which offers the opportunity through an eBay format auction to caddy for a Tour Player during a PGA Tour sanctioned event, held its inaugural "golf fantasy" event at the MCI Heritage in Hilton Head April 12th. The Players and participants were both impressed with how well the day went. The participants were especially thrilled to be "inside the ropes" with their Players, calling it an incredible day and experience! Says Jim Britt, MCI Heritage "Caddy" for Bernhard Langer, "Absolutely fabulous experience. I have always dreamed of being on the PGA Tour and this fulfilled my life's fantasy. "I want to do it again." And Bob Atwell, "Caddy" for Stewart Cink says "1st class the whole way, a tremendous cause, the golf experience of my life!"CEO and veteran PGA Tour caddy Russ Holden describes Caddy For A as "A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for golf enthusiasts to be inside the ropes with their favorite Tour player, one-on-one." The program is unique by offering the opportunity to "buy for charity" the privilege of caddying for a Tour player during a PGA Tour event practice round.Caddy For A is collaborating with eBay.com and MissionFish.com to provide an online charity auction where individuals can bid on caddying for the participating Tour players for specific Tour tournaments.

100% of the proceeds generated by the auction will be donated to Caddy For A Cure, Inc. The benefitting charities are the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, the PGA Tour Caddie Benevolent Fund, the PGA Tour player's charity of choice, and the PGA Tour host site's charity. All are truly wonderful and worthy charities. As Holden says, "It is really a win-win opportunity for everyone involved - the person who wins the auction to caddy gets to experience golf from a professional Tour player's perspective, the Tour player

has an opportunity to get closer to the fans of golf and contribute to their favorite charity, the Tournaments benefit by increasing interest in the event and charities benefit from additional contributions. Basically, professional golf has found a new way to 'give back' from one of the world's most loved games."The Caddy For A concept has quickly gained strong support and acceptance by Tour Players and industry names including golf instructor David Leadbetter. Leadbetter says "Caddy For A is a very worthy cause" and he urges golf enthusiasts to take a look and participate. PGA Players who are participating in Caddy For A include some of the game's most talented, popular and world renown names, such as World # 1 ranked Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, Bernhard Langer, Stuart Appleby, Tom Lehman, Stewart Cink, Chad Campbell, Fred Funk, Jeff Maggert, Peter Jacobsen and more!Caddy For A is offering caddy opportunities at five PGA Tour sanctioned events during 2005: The MCI Heritage Classic in Hilton Head, The Shell Houston Open, the Bank of America Colonial, the Barclay's Classic at Westchester, NY and the John Deere Classic in Illinois. The Bank of America Colonial tournament in Fort Worth, TX is the next upcoming event for caddying on Tuesday, May 17th.
